In 2011 The Great Barrier Island History Research Group Inc. held a short story competition from which the stories in this publication were compiled. This A4, 184 page book with drawings and photographs was launched at Claris on Great Barrier Island on Labour Weekend 22nd October 2011.
The Great Barrier Island History Research Group's aim is to collect and preserve stories about events or persons that make up the very early to recent history of Great Barrier Island.
