Great Barrier Island, 90 km northeast of Auckland with a regular schedule of flights and ferries to and from the island.  Timetables change for winter and summer.  A regular bus service runs between Tryphena and Port FitzRoy once a day and shuttles, taxis, rental cars, 4wd, vans and tour buses are available.

Ferries are scheduled to Great Barrier Island over Labour Weekend, December, Christmas, New Year, January and Easter.
Departs Downtown Ferry Terminal to Tryphena and Port FitzRoy.
